Denny Hamlin has high expectations for 23Xi Racing as they enter the 2024 season. Alongside his co-owner, they aim to be title contenders by 2025. Since their debut, the team has shown promising progress, winning five races in three years and securing a spot in the playoffs in 2023.
The team’s highlight year was undoubtedly 2023, with their new driver achieving two victories and making it to the Playoff R-8. Despite not winning a race, the long-time driver of 23XI also impressed by securing a spot in the R-12. As they approach the 2024 season, Hamlin and the team are filled with optimism for their drivers.
Hamlin has particularly high hopes for Tyler Reddick, who is considered the more talented of the two drivers. He believes that Reddick has the potential to reach the Championship-4. While acknowledging that there are certain tracks where Reddick needs to improve, such as Martinsville, Hamlin sees him as one of the ten drivers capable of becoming the champion in 2024.
Looking ahead to the 2024 season, both Ford and Toyota have made significant changes to their cars, taking into account the Next-Gen regulations. This presents teams with the challenge of optimizing their aerodynamic package once again.
Reddick, however, remains unfazed by the changes and has full confidence in the 23XI crew to deliver. He views the new version of the Next-Gen Camary as a mere reimagination, with no major concerns about the modifications.
