Hispano Suiza is set to unveil its new Carmen Sagrera at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The electric hypercar features an oversized rear wing inspired by stork wings, providing improved downforce and grip for faster cornering. The exterior is adorned with a Cava Gold paint finish, while the cabin boasts a mix of leather and Alcantara upholstery. The center console houses a new infotainment system capable of displaying personalized messages.
Underneath the surface, the Carmen Sagrera is equipped with a larger-capacity battery pack. The 103 kW lithium-ion unit weighs 1,349 pounds and operates at a maximum voltage of over 750VDC. This allows for a driving range of 298 miles on the WTLP test cycle. The car is powered by four electric motors, each generating around 275 horsepower, resulting in a combined output of 1,100 horsepower and a peak torque of 848 pound-foot. With this power, the Carmen Sagrera can accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 2.6 seconds.
The hypercar also boasts several other impressive features. Carbon ceramic brakes with 15.7-inch discs provide exceptional stopping power. The adjustable suspension, made of lightweight materials, includes an anti-roll bar to improve handling. A virtual self-locking differential optimizes track performance and torque transfer. The pedal board has been stiffened and offers increased grip.
The Carmen Sagrera will be showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it will participate in the famous hillclimb. Former Formula 1 driver Luis Perez-Sala, who is a brand ambassador for Hispano Suiza, will be behind the wheel. The event, taking place from July 11 to 14 in the United Kingdom, will also feature other fast rides from various car manufacturers. Don’t miss your chance to witness the latest creation from Hispano Suiza and other exciting vehicles at the festival.
