Steelers fans breathe a sigh of relief as Jaylen Warren expected to play against Vikings

The Pittsburgh Steelers are navigating through some uncertainty at the running back position as they prepare for their Week 4 clash against the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin. Jaylen Warren, who has been nursing a knee injury, was a limited participant in practice leading up to the game and was listed as questionable for the 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff on Sunday morning.

Positive Developments for Warren

Despite the concern surrounding his status, recent updates provide a silver lining for Steelers fans. According to reports, Warren is expected to take the field against the Vikings. Adam Schefter noted that a league source indicated Warren is likely to play, even after being added to the injury report on Friday.

On Sunday morning, ESPN’s Brooke Pryor further confirmed Warren’s presence, observing him during warm-ups. While he was spotted wearing a sleeve on his right leg, Pryor expressed optimism about his readiness, stating, “Jaylen Warren (knee) out early for warmups. He was listed as questionable but I’d imagine he’s good to go.”

Warren’s Role in the Offense

In recent weeks, Warren has been a crucial component of the Steelers’ offense, showcasing his ability to handle a significant workload. Currently ranked as RB14 through the first three games of the season, he has established himself as a reliable RB2 option for fantasy managers.

However, it’s important to approach this matchup with caution. The Vikings have proven to be a tough opponent for running backs, allowing the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game to the position. As Warren steps onto the field in Dublin, fans will undoubtedly be hoping for a strong performance despite the challenging matchup ahead.
