Robertson, now 24 and entering his sixth year with the franchise, signed a one-year extension ahead of salary arbitration. His past request for a trade raises questions about his long-term commitment to the team, but when asked if he still wants to be in Toronto, he simply stated, “Right now, I’m here.”

I think that’s just part of the business side. I’m just happy it worked out like that,” he said. “It’s a contract year. My mindset is coming in and working hard and improving myself, regardless of whether I sign an eight-year deal or a one-year deal.”
