Alex Len enters crowded Knicks training camp in bid for final roster spot

The New York Knicks have been active in the offseason, recently adding veteran center Alex Len to their roster just ahead of training camp. According to reports, the 32-year-old has signed a training camp deal, aiming to make his mark in a competitive environment.

Len’s NBA Journey

Len brings a wealth of experience to the Knicks, having spent 12 seasons in the NBA. Throughout his career, he has averaged 6.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. His journey has taken him through a variety of franchises, including the Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Lakers. Last season, while splitting time between the Kings and Lakers, Len saw limited action, averaging just 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds over 46 games.

Competing for a Spot

As Len joins the Knicks, he finds himself in a fiercely contested training camp. The team has also secured the talents of Malcolm Brogdon, Landry Shamet, Matt Ryan, and Garrison Mathews, among others. With a crowded roster, Len faces stiff competition for a coveted spot on the final team lineup.

The Center Rotation Challenge

The Knicks’ center rotation already boasts notable names, including Karl-Anthony Towns, Mitchell Robinson, Ariel Hukporti, and Guerschon Yabusele. This depth presents a formidable challenge for Len as he seeks to carve out playing time in head coach Mike Brown’s rotation.

Despite the hurdles ahead, Len is poised to showcase his skills and experience, striving to leave a lasting impression that could secure him one of the remaining roster spots available with the Knicks.
