In a memorable debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Aaron Rodgers showcased his legendary skills, leading the team to a nail-biting 34-32 victory over the New York Jets in Week 1. The 40-year-old quarterback threw four touchdown passes, orchestrating a dramatic late-game rally that culminated in Chris Boswell’s 60-yard field goal, solidifying his role as a pivotal force for his new squad.

McDonald faces league repercussions

While Rodgers basked in the glory of his remarkable performance, the Jets’ defensive end Will McDonald found himself on the wrong side of the NFL’s disciplinary actions. After a controversial celebration following a sack on Rodgers, McDonald mimicked throwing a grenade, a gesture that prompted a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct.
