Morris, who is gearing up for his ninth season in the NBA, has encountered a challenging journey recently. Injuries hindered his contributions during the 2023-24 season, and he found himself navigating an unconventional rotation with the Suns. However, his track record speaks volumes. Morris is known for his ability to hit open three-pointers, orchestrate offensive plays, and maintain low turnover rates. This blend of skills makes him a valuable asset, particularly as a reliable backup in case of injuries or unforeseen circumstances.

A Journey Through the NBA

Drafted 51st overall by the Denver Nuggets in the 2017 NBA Draft after a stellar career at Iowa State, Morris quickly transitioned from a G League standout to the starting point guard in Denver. His five-year tenure with the Nuggets culminated in a pivotal role that contributed to their 2023 NBA Championship victory. Following his time in Denver, Morris was traded to the Washington Wizards as part of a significant deal aimed at enhancing the Nuggets’ title run.

Unfortunately, his subsequent stints have been marred by inconsistencies. In the 2022-23 season with the Wizards, he started but was later traded to the Detroit Pistons, where injuries limited his appearances to just six games. A subsequent move to the Minnesota Timberwolves saw him play 27 games, yet he still struggled to regain his former rhythm.
